Michael Collas

Founder & Executive Director

Michael, Mikey, Mike is a sinner saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ!

As a husband and father of three young men, Michael is determined to seek Christ in every aspect of his life. As imperfect as anyone, Michael understands and pursues sanctification, desiring to glorify God through his words and actions.

Mike is a 10-year employee of the City of Colorado Springs, serving as a Firefighter Paramedic. He is working on a Bachelor’s Degree in Bible: Apologetics through Liberty University with a projected graduation in 2028.

Whether on a 911 call for service, at the fire station, his home, or walking the aisles of a grocery store, Michael strives to be a servant.

The development of K.J.I.A. Ministries has been a slowly developing dream. If the ministry serves one person or one hundred, Mike can be heard telling himself and the Ministry team: “Success is Obedience.” This simple phrase is a reminder that numbers are not the goal. Rather the humble focus to do What God asks, How He directs, and When He guides.

    President of the Board

    Ted Collas brings decades of proven leadership, deep faith, and unwavering character to the board. He served a distinguished 36-year career in the fire service, retiring as Fire Chief of Colorado Springs, where he led with clarity, courage, and integrity. Ted holds an Associate of Science in Fire Science from Honolulu Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and Christian Leadership from Colorado Christian University, and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Regis University. A published author with Focus on the Family, he has also faithfully discipled others alongside his wife, Stacy, leading Bible studies for middle school, high school, and college-age individuals. Grounded in his faith since coming to Christ as a young man, Ted has consistently lived out his calling as a husband, father, and mentor. His leadership experience, biblical foundation, and mission-focused mindset make him an ideal fit for President of the Board.

  • Jeff Cloe

    Board Treasurer

    Jeff Cloe brings a wealth of experience, integrity, and servant-hearted leadership to the board. A master plumber by trade, he successfully owned and operated his own business for many years, developing strong financial insight and practical business acumen. He now serves in a vital role supporting operations at a military hospital, continuing his commitment to excellence in his craft. Jeff also serves as union president for his fellow plumbers, advocating for others with fairness and steady leadership. His ability to steward resources wisely and lead with clarity makes him a natural fit for the role of Treasurer. Above all, Jeff is known for his humility, integrity, and genuine care for others.
